Toby O’Brien is a Vice President with Kingsley Gate. Prior, he was a member of one of the largest retained executive search firms in the world. Over the past two decades, Toby has been a founder, launching new business practices for leading financial services companies and a renowned global entertainment corporation. In addition, he also successfully launched a local data management and imaging company servicing the legal, medical and labor markets. Toby utilizes his experience, insights and operations knowledge, to lend credibility to the consultative advice he provides to his clients and candidates.
As a member of the firm’s Transformational Practice and a lead recruiter for the Office of the CEO, Toby serves clients across industries. He works with public and privately held companies, ranging from emerging to global leaders. Toby identifies and recruits world-class talent to fill senior management roles, including CEOs, CDOs, COOs, CFOs, CTOs and executives leading key functions and operations. He leads recruiting assignments for executives within the industries of technology, life sciences, retail and consumer services, and manufacturing.
Toby received his BA in Political Science from the University of Toledo. He has served as a Board of Trustee Member for the Bacchus and Gamma Peer Education Network, a Chapter Board Member for BNI International and a National Leadership Consultant for Alpha Sigma Phi National Fraternity. In addition, Toby has been an active mentor for the MedTechVets program, assisting veterans and military officers transition into civilian opportunities. Toby is a founding member of the Transformational Practice at Kingsley Gate– a practice dedicated to placing leaders in corporations focused on transforming their business.
