Brings Expertise in Human Resources to Build Firm’s Global HR Practice

Kingsley Gate, a leading global, executive search and human capital advisory firm, today announced the continued strengthening of its international presence with the appointment of five new partners across key regions. Dan O’Donovan joins the firm’s Chicago office, Spencer Knibbe joins the New York office, Tatyana Freitas and Loreto Montoya strengthen the Latin American presence in São Paulo and Santiago respectively, while Alejandro Salazar-Simpson enhances the firm’s European capabilities from Madrid.

Kingsley Gate Partners, the leader in retained executive search that helps ensure a lasting fit between its clients and placed candidates, today announced that Mike Bergen joined the company as a senior partner and the Global Human Resources Practice Leader. Bergen will be based out of the firm’s New York office.

Bergen brings nearly three decades of retained executive search and HR experience to Kingsley Gate Partners. His expertise spans a variety of industries, geographies and functions with an exceptional track record placing executives in the human resources function.

Prior to joining Kingsley Gate Partners, Mike led the U.S. business for Allegis Partners and was the Global Practice Leader for their Human Resources Practice, as well as a member of the CEO & Board Practice. Previously, Mike was a Senior Client Partner in the HR Practice of Korn Ferry as well as a Contributing Senior Client Partner in that firm’s Global Sports Practice. Prior to this, he founded the Bergen Briller Group, an HR executive search and talent consulting firm that he led for more than 12 years. Before joining the executive search industry, Mike held senior HR leadership roles at GE, Citibank, and Cigna.

Mr. Bergen earned his BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a former U.S. Army captain and helicopter pilot.
