Sanjay R. Shastry is a Senior Partner with Kingsley Gate Partners. He brings in a comprehensive understanding of the Industrial sector with over 25 years of combined experience in both Industry/Corporate and Executive Search.
Previously, Sanjay served as the CEO and Managing Director of RGF Executive Search, where he navigated the P&L of the firm’s operations in India. He joined RGF (formerly known as Stanton Chase) in late 2004 and built the Delhi office ground up prior to the India franchise’s acquisition by RGF, a division of the 22B$ Recruit Holdings of Japan, in 2013. In his Executive Search career thus far, Sanjay has personally stewarded over 250 CXO appointments assisting clients across sectors.
Before diving into the Executive Search world, Sanjay worked with Esso Petroleum India, a subsidiary of the former Exxon Corporation, as a part of the India startup team. He spearheaded the firm’s launch in South India, ultimately leading the Industrial business in the region. He was instrumental in the Company’s winning two major Power Plant businesses—a then landmark achievement for the Company.
Upon the merger of Exxon and Mobil in India, Sanjay shifted base to Gurgaon where he led technical relationship with Industrial OEMs such as Wartsila, GE, Siemens, Atlas Copco, Voith, Bosch, etc. He also led the commercial business with Automotive OEMs with key manufacturers such as Volvo, Caterpillar, Toyota, Mercedes Benz, VW, Hyundai, and Ford to name a few.
Sanjay is an Industrial and Production Engineer with a Post Graduate Certification in Business Management from XLRI. He is based in our Gurgaon office in the Delhi-NCR Region, India.
