Karin Brandes is the Senior Partner and Latin America Region Leader at Kingsley Gate having more than 20 years in the search industry.

Karin serves a broad spectrum of companies, including major local, regional, global and family-owned businesses operating in the industrial, mining, oil and gas, consumer and retail, media, technology and telecommunications and financial services industries. She has recruited board members, senior general management and key executives responsible for major growth initiatives, completing assignments for Country Directors, Managing Directors, and Vice Presidents of different functional areas. Karin has been a featured speaker on talent management at conferences in American Chamber of Commerce, IT Common and other organizations.

Prior to Kingsley Gate, Karin was Managing Partner and a member of the Latin America Board with Caldwell and CTPartners, where she participated in the startup and development of their organizations in Latin America. Previously, she worked as a Partner with Heidrick & Struggles.

Before entering the search profession, Karin was Corporate Banking Deputy Manager at Citibank in Lima and at Belcorp, one of Peru’s largest cosmetics and personal care companies with operations in Latin America. Karin began her career with a pharmaceutical company as a Product Manager.

Karin holds a B.A. in Economics from the Universidad de Lima and has pursued post-graduate studies in finance and marketing. She has been appointed as an Advisory Board Member of the Masters of Organization and People Management of Universidad ESAN. She is a former member of the Advisory Committee for the Master on Human Resources of the Universidad del Pacífico, VP of OWIT Peru, and former board member of the American Chamber of Commerce’s HR Committee. Karin was a member of the Peruvian Olympic swimming team of 1984.

Karin is based in the firm’s Lima location.
