Julio is a Senior Partner at Kingsley Gate Partners. He specializes in executive search and talent consulting, and works transversally in different sectors creating value for his clients by ensuring the supply of executive talent to both management teams and boards, through succession planning, external talent attraction processes and the assessment and development of internal capabilities. Julio also works with executive teams to maximize their performance and transformational capabilities. He has collaborated with listed companies, family-owned businesses, private equity firms and investment funds, advising them on the creation and development of the best teams for the management and governance of their companies.
With over 30 years of experience, Julio has held senior management positions in operations, sales, and business development. As an entrepreneur, he has created and developed several companies in complex sectors such as healthcare and mergers and acquisitions. As a management consultant he has worked at EY and advised EVERIS, one of the fastest growing international consulting firms, on its talent strategy. He has also specialized in talent management and executive search in firms such as HayGroup and Korn Ferry.
In addition to Spain and Portugal, Julio has worked with international clients in North, Central, and South America and collaborated or led different projects in EMEA. Julio is one of the pioneers in Spain in succession planning in different sectors and especially in the financial sector. He has evaluated more than 4,000 executives and board members and designed transformation and digital talent plans in large telecommunications companies.
Julio graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid as a qualified Medical Doctor. He also obtained the title of specialist in Family and Community Medicine from the European Union and an Executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa (IE). He has also obtained diplomas from EADA and Middlesex University.
Julio obtained his certification as a coach at the WQG. As a teacher and lecturer, he has collaborated with ESCP Business School, IE, IESE, ESADE, and the University of Navarra. He has directed the publication of several books on management and talent management and is a regular contributor to the most prestigious economic publications in Spain.
Julio resides in Madrid (Spain) and collaborates with several charities and non-profit organizations.
