Jonathan Halkyard Becomes Chief Financial Officer for MGM Resorts
MGM Resorts International has hired Jonathan Halkyard as Chief Financial Officer, making him a member of the senior management team. In this role, Jonathan will oversee all financial activities both domestically and internationally, in addition to the investor relations, accounting, treasury, procurement and tax functions. He will report to President and Chief Executive Officer, Bill Hornbuckle. He succeeds Corey Sanders, who will transition to his new role as Chief Operating Officer for MGM. Jonathan brings extensive executive experience to MGM, most recently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer for Extended Stay America. He also served as Chief Operating Officer before transitioning to Chief Financial Officer during his Extended Stay America tenure. His executive financial leadership experience also includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for NV Energy. He gained a strong finance and operating leadership foundation during his time with Caesars Entertainment Corporation, where he worked his way up from Accountant to Chief Financial Officer.
