Uber Welcomes Amazon’s Sukumar Rathnam as Chief Technology Officer
Sukumar Rathnam is set to join Uber as Chief Technology Officer on September 28, 2020. Sukumar will be leaving his position as Vice President for Amazon, where he oversaw product selection and catalog systems. Sukumar’s background also includes leadership positions with both Microsoft and Peoplesoft.
Uber Technologies, Inc., commonly known as Uber, offers vehicles for hire, food delivery, package delivery, couriers, freight transportation, and, through a partnership with Lime, electric bicycle and motorized scooter rental. The San Francisco, CA-based company generated $14.15 billion in revenue in 2019, and employs 22,000 people.
