
Frank Clyburn Promoted to President of Human Health for Merck
Merck has elevated Frank Clyburn to President of Human Health, overseeing all of the related commercial and marketing efforts. He has held several executive-level roles with the company, most recently serving as Chief Commercial Officer, Human Health. His previous roles with Merck include serving as President of Global Oncology & Market Access and President of Primary Care and Women’s Health. He joined the company from Sanofi Aventis, where he served in numerous leadership roles. He also spearheaded the integration of Sanofi and Aventis. Frank will report to Robert M. Davis on April 1, 2021, when Robert officially transitions to President of Merck.
Merck, known as MSD outside of the U.S. and Canada, has been inventing for life, bringing forward medicines and vaccines for many of the world’s most challenging diseases in pursuit of its mission to save and improve lives. Based in Kenilworth, NJ, the company employs about 57,000 individuals. For 2019, Merck reported revenues of $46.84 billion.
