
Dr. Nwando Olayiwola to be Chief Health Equity Officer for Humana
Humana has appointed Nwando Olayiwola, M.D., MPH, FAAFP, as its first ever Senior Vice President and Chief Health Equity Officer, effective April 5, 2021. She will spearhead health equity strategy and efforts across the entire company. She will also work to enhance cultural sensitivity among clinical programs, products, services and all member interactions and communications. She will report to William Shrank, M.D., Chief Medical and Corporate Affairs Officer. Nwando was most recently with The Ohio State University College of Medicine as Chair and Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, as well as Founding Director of the Center for Primary Care Innovation and Transformation. She currently practices family medicine at OSU’s Outpatient Care East Clinic as well. Previously, she served as: Chief Clinical Transformation Officer for RubiconMD, Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Excellence in Primary Care at the University of California, San Francisco, and Chief Medical Officer of Community Health Center.
