Sharon Barner Promoted to Chief Administrative Officer for Cummins

Cummins has elevated Sharon Barner to Chief Administrative Officer, effective April 2021. She currently serves the company as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Throughout her tenure thus far, Sharon has made significant impacts as an executive legal leader, including those related to acquisitions, regulatory matters, and other initiatives. Previously, she served Foley & Lardner LLP as both Chair and a Partner focused on intellectual property. She is also the former Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director of the USPTO. She will succeed Marya Rose, who announced she will retire in April after a two-decade career with Cummins. 

Cummins, headquartered in Columbus, IN, designs, manufactures, distributes and services diesel and natural gas engines. Currently, the company has a workforce of 61,600 people. Cummins generated $23.6 billion in revenue for 2019.
