UniCredit Announces Executive Changes
Effective December 1, 2020, the following executive changes will take place at UniCredit:
- Serenella De Candia will be promoted to Chief Compliance Officer. She currently oversees the Internal Audit function for the company. Serenella has had a long-standing career with UniCredit, having joined the company in 2000, earning roles of increasing responsibility. She also spent two years with Mediolanum Group as Head of Internal Audit before rejoining UniCredit in 2010. Serenella succeeds Carlo Appetiti.
- Guglielmo Zadra will be named Head of Internal Audit. He will transition out of his current role as Head of Group Regulatory Affairs. Guglielmo spent the earlier portion of his career in audit and investment banking. He eventually joined UniCredit in 2008 as Head of Group Planning and Strategy, but eventually transitioned into risk. He also spent four years as Chief Financial Officer and Management Board Member for UniCredit Bank in Germany. Guglielmo succeeds Serenella De Candia as Head of Internal Audit.
