
Kathryn H. Ruemmler Named Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of the Registrant for Goldman Sachs
Goldman Sachs has promoted Kathryn H. Ruemmler to Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of the Registrant. She previously served the company as Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, joining the firm as a Partner. Prior to that, she was a Litigation Partner and Global Chair of White Collar Defense and Investigations for Latham & Watkins LLP. She is the former White House Counsel to President Barack Obama, Associate Counsel to President William Clinton, and has held several roles with the Department of Justice. She succeeds Karen P. Seymour, who announced she will retire on March 31, 2021.
