Deutsche Bank’s Manfred Knof Appointed CEO of Commerzbank

Commerzbank AG is bringing Manfred Knof on as its new Chief Executive Officer. Manfred previously served as Head of Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank in Germany, as well as a Member of the Group Management Committee. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he held executive roles with Allianz, including .CEO at Allianz Deutschland. He also served Dresdner Bank in various leadership capacities. Manfred will succeed Martin Zielke, who resigned as Chief Executive Officer in July 2020.

Commerzbank AG is a major German bank operating as a universal bank, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main. It serves more than 11 million private and small business customers nationwide and over 70,000 corporate clients, multinationals, financial service providers, and institutional clients worldwide. The bank posted $14.5 billion in sales for 2019, and employs approximately 48,500 people.
