
Charles Phillips Appointed to American Express Board of Directors
American Express has elected Charles Phillips to its Board of Directors, commencing on December 1, 2020. Presently, Charles is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Recognize. Before that, he led Infor as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. He has also served as President and Board Member of Oracle, as well as Managing Director for Morgan Stanley. His earlier career includes serving as Senior Vice President for Kidder Peabody and SoundView Technology Group respectively, and as Vice President of Software for BNY Mellon. He began his career as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Charles is currently on the Boards of Directors for Compass, ViacomCBS, and the United States Air Force Academy Endowment.
