
BNP Paribas Asset Management Announces Executive Changes
BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) USA has announced the following executive appointments beginning January 1, 2021:
- Johanna Lasker has been named Chief Executive Officer, where she will oversee strategy, leadership, governance and regulatory matters. She will also maintain her role as Head of the Official Institutions Group. Johanna will still report to Sandro Pierri, Head of BNPP AM’s Global Client Group. Locally, she will report to the Chief Executive Officer of CIB Americas, José Placido. She succeeds Daniel Klein, who will be returning to Europe. Previously, Johanna was with Fischer Francis Trees & Watts, a predecessor of BNP Paribas Asset Management, ultimately serving as Head of Official Institutions globally.
- Amanda Rayno will become Deputy Chief Executive Officer, while maintaining her role as Chief Operating Officer of BNPP AM USA. In efforts to support CEO Johanna Lasker, Amanda will locally oversee the legal, finance and control functions. Previously, she served as Chief Operating Officer of Fortis during the company’s acquisition by BNPP AM. She then became Chief Operating Officer for BNPP AM. Earlier in her career, she was with Harbor Capital Management during its acquisition by Fortis.
