
Skip Potter Appointed Chief Digital Information Officer for Columbia Sportswear
Columbia Sportswear Company has hired Skip Potter to serve in the newly-created Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Information Officer role, commencing on April 1, 2021. Skip will oversee technology globally for the company, expanding its digital presence, as well as omni-channel and supply chain initiatives. He will report to Tim Boyle, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer for Nike. Prior to that, he was Capital One’s Managing Vice President of Engineering after being promoted from Vice President of Technology Innovation. Skip also gained strong leadership experience with British Telecommunications, where he ultimately served as Chief Information Officer / Chief Technology Officer for BT Enterprises.
