Robert F. Helm Named Chief Financial Officer for The Children’s Place

The Children’s Place has promoted Robert (Rob) F. Helm to Chief Financial Officer beginning April 1, 2021. He will report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer, Jane Elfers. Rob has served the company in multiple finance leadership roles, most recently as Senior Vice President of Finance and Inventory Management. He will gain responsibility for internal audit while continuing to lead financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, accounting operations, tax, treasury, investor relations and inventory management. He previously served as Vice President and Controller for FreshDirect and rag & bone. He gained additional senior finance experience with Ralph Lauren, where he ultimately served as Vice President, U.S. Regional Controller. Earlier in his career, he held roles with KPMG and Smolin Lupin & Co. Rob supersedes Michael Scarpa, who announced he will retire on March 31, 2021.
 
The Children’s Place is a specialty retailer of children’s apparel and accessories headquartered in Secaucus, NJ. The company posted revenues of $1.871 billion for fiscal year 2019. As of August 1, 2020, the company had 824 stores in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
