Anil Sabharwal Appointed to Wesfarmers Board of Directors

Wesfarmers has elected Anil Sabharwal as a Member of its Board of Directors, beginning February 1, 2021. Anil is currently Google’s Vice President of Product Management, as well as the Senior Product and Engineering Leader in Australia and New Zealand. Anil has been with Google for over a decade in various roles, including leading teams for both Google Photos and Google Chrome. Additionally, he serves as an Advisor to AirTree Ventures presently. He previously Co-founded Desire2Learn. His leadership experience spans roles with Talent2, Ngrain, Viewpoint, and Microsoft. 

Wesfarmers has diverse business operations that cover: home improvement and outdoor living; apparel and general merchandise; office supplies; and an Industrials division with businesses in chemicals, energy and fertilisers, and industrial and safety products. Wesfarmers, headquartered in Perth, is one of Australia’s largest employers and has a shareholder base of approximately 484,000. For fiscal year 2020, the company posted $30.8 billion in revenue.
